Comprehensive Assessment.
(Lets figure out what's going on).
A detailed assessment of your history, including any contributors to
your ADHD symptoms such as unresolved trauma, etc. will be pieced
out and will inform your treatment plan.
Develop a Collaborative Treatment Plan.
(Let's figure out what we're going to do).
It's called a collaborative treatment plan because it's a team effort. Although we have the training
to help guide you to make the progress you'd like to make, in the end, we need you on board and active in the process.
Implement the Plan.
(Let's do what we said we'd do!).
Your Counselor wears many hats during this process, including helping to hold
you accountable. One of the most difficult things about ADHD is how easy it
is for us to fall off the track, to lose focus, and having someone there to keep you on track
is VITAL, especially in the beginning process of learning new habits.
We employ a variety of techniques pulled from
CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing),
and many other therapy styles in order to best serve you.
It's All Good.
(yep).
Whether you are seen one time a week, or one time a month, we will create a plan that
suites your needs, goals, and financial capabilities... just be prepared to work a
great deal on your own time if you decide to be seen less frequently.
